NPSL Official Logo 2016

Let’s start this week in the West where the conference is still CD Aguiluchos and everyone else. But everyone else had an interesting week. CD knocked off Sonoma County 5-3 and East Bay Stompers FC beat Sacramento 2-1 on a late go-ahead goal. But the moment most may recall will be EBFC keeper’s Marcus Rojas’ play in the box- the bad and the good to preserve the tie in the 83rd minute

After the loss, the Gold have a one-point lead on Sonoma County, 2 on EBFC, and 6 on Napa Valley 1839 (9-8-7-3). This week, Stompers host CD Aguiluchos and Sonoma County hosts Napa Valley.

In the Northwest, everyone is finally underway. PDX FC won their second in a row, 2-1 over Pierce County. OSA FC split their weekend with a win over FCM Portland and a draw Spokane SC Shadow. And speaking of Shadow, they drew Kitsap Soccer 1-1 in Bremerton. Kitsap has the match below:

This week, FCM hosts Kitsap Friday night and Pierece County hosts Spokane Saturday.

The Southwest is already in match 10 and its still three groups in the standings. FC Arizona is still undefeated (7-0-3, 24 points GD+24) as they shut out Oxnard Guerreros (10 pts, 7th) 2-0. Riverside Coras (23 pts, 2nd) lost their first match of the year, 3-0 to Albion SC (18 pts, 4th). APTV and Tim Reintgen talked to Albion PROS Head Coach Ziggy Korytoski and Man of the Match Sean Callahan.

Orange County FC (20 pts, 3rd) drew Temecula FC (14 pts, 5th) at twos. Temecula has the halves up and here’s the final 45 minutes.

SoCal SC (11 pts, 6th) beat City of Angels (1 pt, 9th), 4-1, at the Fairplex and SC Corinthians (2 pts, 8th) had the week off. This week, Orange County hosts Oxnard. SoCal goes to Corinthians. FC Arizona hosts City of Angels and Riverside hosts Temecula.
