NPSL Southeast Week 15 Review/Preview

Last week, in the Heartland Conference, FC Wichita put up 5 on Ozark FC.

Little Rock and Tulsa drew at ones.

This week, Demize (4pts, 5th) host Ozark (0pts, 6th) and goes to Tulsa (7pts, 3rd). FC Wichita (13pts, 1st) goes to Little Rock (10pts, 2nd) and hosts Tulsa. Dallas City (7pts, 3rd) also host Ozark on Saturday.

In the Lonestar,  Dutch Lions got two 3-1 wins- over Fort Worth

and Midland-Odessa. Houston Regals shut out Tyler FC and Midland-Odessa beat Shreveport.

This week, the Lions (10pts, 3rd) host Tyler (2pts, 6th) before going to Regals (7pts, 4th). Houston also hosts Midland-Odessa (15pts, 1st) and Vaqueros (12pts, 2nd) host Rafters (3pts, 5th).

In the Southeast, the Atlanta Silverbacks put up more numbers with a 4-1 win at Knoxville. New Orleans Jesters had a big week- two draws with Inter Nashville and Chattanooga… here’s the equalizer at Fort Finley

Memphis City won at Asheville City, 2-1, combined with a Blues draw against the Georgia Revs. Above and Beyond has the highlights…

Inter Nashville also won 1-0 over FC Carolina United.

This week, the Silverbacks (15pts, 1st) are in Asheville (10pts, 5th). Chattanooga (7pts, 7th) host Inter Nashville and Birmingham mid-week in between two Hammers (4pts, 8th) home matches with Knoxville (11pts, 4th) and Atlanta. New Orleans (12pts, 3rd) are at Memphis (9pts, 6th) before a home game with Inter Nashville (13pts, 2nd). FCCU (2pts, 10th) also wraps up with a match with the Revs (3pts, 9th).

And, in the Sunshine, Miami United (13pts, 1st) had a split week- losing to Kraze (9pts, 4th)- sportsmesh has the highlights

before beating Beaches FC. Miami Fusion (12pts, 2nd) beat Beaches as well

and Jacksonville Armada U23 beat Boca Raton (6pts, 5th)

This week, Armada (10pts, 3rd) host Kraze before they host Naples (0pts, 7th). Miami Fusion host Boca and United host Beaches (3pts, 6th).

The Lonestar Conference is off and running with Midland-Odessa and Fort Worth Vaqueros (12 points). Dutch Lions and Houston Regals have 4 points. Shreveport Rafters FC have 3 points and Tyler FC have 2.

Vaqueros beat Midland-Odessa 2-1 and Tyler FC lost two matches 3-0- one to Midland and one to Shreveport

In the Southeast, it’s the Atlanta Silverbacks with 15 points in front. Then, the gaggle begins- Inter Nashville have 10. Asheville City and Memphis City have 9 while New Orleans Jesters and Knoxville Force have 8. Chattanooga FC have 6 points. Birmingham have 4 points and FC Carolina United and the Georgia Revolution have 2 each.

Last week, the Silverbacks picked up wins at FCCU and Knoxville. Inter Nashville drew twice with Asheville and New Orleans. Memphis City picked up a win and a draw on Saturday- wrapping up the I-40 Cup over Little Rock in the aggregate and getting full points over Birmingham.

They also beat Asheville City 2-1 for their week. Chattanooga FC and the Revs had a goalless draw. Here’s Above and Beyond’s version

This week, Birmingham hosts New Orleans. FCCU hosts Inter Nashville. The Revs host Asheville City and Knoxville hosts Memphis City. Mid-week gives us Chattanooga FC and the Jewsters.

In the Heartland, FC Wichita have 10 points with Little Rock Rangers at 9. Dallas City FC have 7. Tulsa Athletic have 6, Joplin’s Demize have 4 and Ozark FC have started the season 0-4.

Last week, Demize and Little Rock drew at 1. Dallas City shut out Ozark, 4-0, and FC Wichita beat Tulsa 3-2. This week, Dallas City hosts Demize. Little Rock hosts Tulsa and Ozark hosts Wichita.

Finally, in the Sunshine, it’s still Miami United with 13 points and Miami Fusion with 9. Jacksonville Armada U23 are at 7, Boca Raton and Kraze United have 6 points, Beaches FC have 3 points, and Naples United are 0-4 to start.

Last week, Kraze beat Fusion 3-2 and Miami United drew Jacksonville Armada as the U23 side survived a 16th minute red card.

NPSL Southern Region Week 11 Review/Preview

Finishing up in the Southern Region, the Heartland Conference is putting up some big numbers out of the blocks. First stop: Tulsa Athletic where they put up 9 goals in their match with Ozark FC

Little Rock Rangers and FC Wichita got full points as well with wins over Demize and Dallas City FC. Here’s the action from Wichita…

This week, Dallas City goes to Little Rock and Joplin. Rangers visit Demize on June 1st. Demize start their week hosting Tulsa. FC Wichita hosts Ozark Saturday night as well.

The Lonestar Conference has two undefeated sides for starters- Fort Worth Vaqueros (9 points) and Midland-Odessa FC (6 points). Vaqueros beat Dutch Lions and Shreveport Rafters this week. Midland-Odessa also beat Rafters mid-week. Here’s the match…

This week, a big early-season match as Vaqueros go to Midland-Odessa and Tyler host Dutch Lions.

The Southeast will be one of the most competitive conferences this season. And the top of the ladder is a first-year team in Inter Nashville. Inter beat Memphis City 3-0 last week and stay on top. The Atlanta Silverbacks are second and lost in the division to New Orleans Jesters.

Chattanooga FC is one of the three sides tied at 5 points- as they were leading Birmingham 1-0 when lightning hit the area in and around Fort Finley and called the match- rescheduled for June 20. But the team had an awesome assist on the National Anthem. Mad Kemp has the video

And went to Memphis, for a part of the Volunteer Derby, and drew at nil

But, probably, the save sequence of the week goes here from Memphis City the goalkeeper at the 6:06 mark off the PK and rebound. Mad Kemp has it as well…

Knoxville Force played a home and home with Asheville City SC and got four points- drawing at ones in Asheville on a 94th minute PK

But came back to win at home 3-2, thanks to the Scruffy City Syndicate, for the match

This week, Atlanta hosts Knoxville before the Force return home for a Tuesday match with FCCU. New Orleans host the Revs, Memphis City hosts Inter Nashville and FCCU hosts Asheville City.

In the Sunshine Conference,  the biggest move was by Miami Fusion as they beat Miami United, 5-2, to draw within three points of the conference leaders. Sportsmesh tv has the match from south Florida.

Armada U-23 shut out Naples 3-0 and Beaches FC shut out Kraze United, 2-0, to get their first win of the season. Sportsmesh was there as well…

This week, Beaches host Miami United. Naples host Boca and Armada host Fusion.

NPSL South Region 5/18-24 Review/Preview

The Heartland Conference is just getting underway with four of the five teams playing last weekend. Tulsa Athletic beat Ozark FC 3-1 while FC Wichita and Little Rock Rangers tied at 2.
This week, Dallas City hosts FC Wichita in another crossover. Little Rock hosts Joplin and Tulsa hosts Ozark.
In the Lonestar last week, Houston Regals beat Shreveport 3-2 and Fort Worth Vaqueros shut out Tyler FC 1-0. This week, Midland-Odessa knocked off Regals, 2-0 on Thursday night.
Saturday, Vaqueros host Dutch Lions and Tyler hosts Houston. Sunday, Midland-Odessa host Shreveport. Wednesday, Rafters host the Vaqueros.
In the Southeast, the busy week for the Atlanta Silverbacks continued as they beat FC Carolina United 3-0 at home Friday night…
Then, on less than 24 hours notice, scored an early goal and held off the Georgia Revolution, 1-0

Asheville City backed up their home win with a 2-2 draw in Memphis and the Birmingham Hammers followed up their win over Atlanta in week one with a draw at Sicard Hollow- 1-1 versus Inter Nashville.
