And Then There Were 16 In The NPSL (Plus A Derby)

It’s now down to the final 16 for the NPSL title and all conferences are now sending teams to the playoffs…

Out west, FC Arizona advanced with a 3-1 win over Albion SC, CD Aguiluchos shut out Sonoma County Sol 4-0, Kitsap shut out FCM Portland 2-0, and Orange County beat Riverside Coras 1-0. George Langevin wraps the west with that match

In the southeast, InterNashville made a run for the weekend with wins over Knoxville and host New Orleans to get the title. Paul Boron has the conference as his lead in this week’s NPSL review… and also gets in to the FC Wichita 5-1 win over Tulsa Athletic in the Heartland and the Midland-Odessa win over Shreveport Rafters to move on from the Lone Star Conferences.

In the northeast, the lowest-ranked team of the bunch in Legacy 76 is still going with a 3-1 win over FC Frederick. Kingston Stockade moves on as a region champ with a 2-1 win over Hartford City FC. Here’s that celebration from the stands…

And Clarkstown SC Eagles knocked off NJ Copa, 3-1, with the US Turkish Association of South Jersey shooting the match…

Friday, ElmCity gets Legacy. Saturday, the northeast has Clarkstown hosting Stockade. The southeast has InterNashville going to Miami Fusion and FC Wichita hosting Midland-Odessa. The midwest has Detroit City hosting Dakota Fusion and Erie Commodores hosting Dayton Dynamo while the west has Kitsap traveling to Aguiluchos and FC Arizona hosting Orange County.

One other note is the Blue Ridge Derby- ¬†the first match involving Chattanooga FC and Asheville City- a match CFC won 9-0 at Fort Finley. MadKemp has your look…


NPSL Northeast Week 11 Review/Preview

In the Northeast/Atlantic Blue, it’s Elm City Express that continues to impress in their first season- a 4-point weekend with a draw against Hartford City and a win over Seacoast Phantoms put them on top (10 points). Creative Motion Video has the Hartford highlights

Brooklyn Italians beat Cosmos B to stay second (6 points) and Cosmos B (4 points) turned around and beat TSF FC. TSF, Greater Lowell, and Seacoast Phantoms all have three points this season to date. TSF beat Greater Lowell and Phantoms beat Seacoast Mariners in a cross-over.

This week, Brooklyn hosts TSF and Elm City in a big early-season match-up. TSF also travel to Phantoms Sunday. Cosmos B goes to Phantoms and host Greater Lowell.

Atlantic White has Hartford City, Stockade, Boston City, and Rhode Island all within a win in the standings. Stockade had a 6-point week with wins over NYAC and Rhode Island. Reds started their week with a win over Seacoast Mariners.

This week, Hartford City hosts Stockade, the Reds hosts NYAC, and Boston City hosts Mariners.

The Keystone Conference got underway with some biog numbers last weekend. Junior Lone Star put 4 on Buxmont Torch for a win. Clarkstown put 5 on Greater Binghamton. West Chester United put 4 on Hershey FC…

And Electric City and NJ Copa drew at 1… watch that match here…

This week, Buxmont visits Hershey and West Chester. Electric City goes to Binghamton and Clarkstown hosts NJ Copa.

In the Mid-Atlantic, Fredericksburg played twice winning at Legacy 76 and losing to VBC FC. This week, FC Frederick starts their season- hosting Legacy 76.

To the point where the Atlantic Region has been separated into White and Blue Conferences to add to the Keystone and Mid-Atlantic Conferences from 2016…
In the Atlantic Blue, two matches have already been played: Boston City FC and Cosmos B drew at 1 back on the 29th of April and Elm City Express shut out Greater Lowell FC, 2-0 last weekend.

This week, Elm City goes to Cosmos B on Saturday and Seacoast Phantoms go to Greater Lowell. Tuesday, Brooklyn Italians go to New York Athletic Club.
Last week in the Atlantic White, Boston City FC shut out NYAC, 2-0. Hartford City also beat Kingston Stockade 3-1. Stockade head coach David Lindholm caught up with the Daily Freeman


This weekend, Rhode Island Reds to go Boston City and Seacoast Mariners go to Hartford City.
It’s the first weekend for the Keystone Conference: Greater Binghamton FC Thunder goes to NJ Copa FC, Electric City Shock go to Clarkstown Eagles and Junior Lone Star travel to the West Chester United Soccer Club.
The Mid-Atlantic has one match-up as Legacy 76 host VBC FC.
