Atlanta United update, Day 8

Another double session was on the docket for Atlanta United today during their preseason training camp at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Off the field, it was announced that forward Brandon Vazquez was called up to the U.S. U20 national team camp ahead of the CONCACAF championships in February. Two academy players, Charlie Asensio and Zyen Jones, were invited back to the U17 national team residency program.

The AJC’s Doug Roberson, who joined the SDH Daily show this morning, was impressed by Lagos Kunga, one of the academy players joining the first team in camp.

Doug also reported that Zach Loyd would miss 2-3 weeks with a groin injury. He recapped Tuesday’s action in a Facebook video:

The most important piece of Doug’s video is that Anton Walkes loves Migos and knows Kris Kross. He’s a keeper.
